tento VĚDECKÝ MÍROVÝ projekt:
prý 74 000 000 000 Kč investovaných v průběhu desítek let, co projekt existuje. Výsledkem už je mnoh dílčích pozorování a výzkumů, nyní bude možná něco, co bychom se jinak těžko dozvěděli.
proti tomu však:
Poslední americká válka POUZE v Iráku:
1 den = 200 000 000 dolarů přímých nákladů na zbraně a vojsko. Přitom náklady každým dnem rostou.
celkem odhad nákladů této války cca 440 000 000 000 dolarů. Odhad péče o zraněné v této válce po několik desítek let: 2 500 000 000 dolarů
Nikomu se nechce vyčíslovat ještě ztráty za zničenou zemi, zničenou přírodu, lidské životy, (již přes 1 mil. civilistů), spotřebované suroviny, atd. Další peníze jistě patří k mediálním kampaním, politice, korupci, propagandě, tajné službě, a nevyhratelné války proti tzv.virtuálnímu terorismu.
Pořád málo? a dá se to srovnávat? ... a kolik už takových válek bylo za posledních 10 let? A kolik jich ještě bude? Budou se jich účastnit také naši vojáci? Kolik se při vyexportuje demokracie?

že nebýt obskurních katastrofických vizí, asi by zpráva o zahájení provozu tohoto projektu nestála v Čechách za zveřejnění, což by byla škoda.

Ani CERN se netopí v penězích, překlenovací úvěr na výstavbu LHC bude splácet ještě v roce 2010. Je to halt otázka vládních priorit.

Když tak koukám na to převelice efektní srovnání, které tu TS napsal, mne napadá otázka. Uvědomuje si dotyčný, že ty relativně nízké částky za podniky typu 27 kilometrů dlouhého urychlovače se vynakládají možná i s vyhlídkou na to, že to ve výsledku výrazně sníží náklady na podniky typu Irák?
...ono vojenské použití se pro výsledky vědeckých experimentů najde vždycky...
