WASHINGTON (AP) – Počítačoví vyšetřovatelé v USA zjistili totožnost mladíka, jenž má být jedním z autorů ničivé virové infekce, která se začala masově šířit před několika týdny po Internetu. Podle nejmenovaného činitele chce FBI mladíka zatknout v pátek ráno.

Osmnáctiletý mladík byl obviněn z toho, že napsal jednu verzi ničivého viru Blaster, který se rychle rozšířil po Internetu, řekl již zmíněný činitel, jenž si přál zůstat v anonymitě. Požádal také, aby další informace o identitě mladíka nebyly zveřejněny, dokud nedojde k zatčení.

Očekává se, že FBI a státní zástupce v Seattlu, který vede vyšetřování, zveřejní další podrobnosti v pátek.

WASHINGTON (AP) – U.S. cyber investigators have identified a teenager as one author of a damaging virus-like infection unleashed weeks ago on the Internet and plan to arrest him early Friday, a U.S. official confirmed.

The 18-year-old was accused of writing a version of the damaging "Blaster" computer infection that spread quickly across the Internet, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. The official asked that further identifying information about the teenager not be disclosed until the arrest.

Further details were expected to be disclosed Friday by the FBI and U.S. attorney's office in Seattle, which has been leading the investigation.

Update (19:22): He was arrested and is now in custody in Minnesota. His Internet nickname was "teekid".
