Někteří členové Al Kajdy velmi pravděpodobně vlastní přenosné rakety země-vzduch a mohou je použít k útokům na vojenská přepravní letadla, tvrdí se ve zprávě OSN.

Tato hrozba byla jedním z několika závěrů přednesených ve zprávě Výboru OSN pro sankce proti Al Kajdě a Talibanu, jež také zmínila posun ve strategii této teroristické sítě směrem k „snadnějším“ cílům a varovala, že Al Kajda se připravuje na chemický nebo biologický útok.

Podle odborníků spolupracujících s výborem je „pouze otázkou času“, než se teroristé z Al Kajdy pokusí provést chemický nebo biologický útok. Vzhledem k nedávným několikanásobným teroristickým útokům v Turecku by (někteří) evropští politici měli začít být znepokojeni. Zpráva nicméně říká, že

...zabití a uvěznění několika členů Al Kajdy teroristickou organizaci poškodilo.

Jen drobný dotaz: kdo že to stojí v čele boje proti terorismu?

Some members of al Qaeda most likely possess portable surface-to-air missiles and may use them to target military transport planes, a U.N. report says.

The threat was among several findings detailed in the report by the United Nations' al Qaeda and Taliban Sanctions Committee which also cited a shifting of the terror network's strategy, a move towards "softer" targets and a warning the group was working towards a biological or chemical attack.

According to a panel of experts working with the Committee, it’s “just a matter of time” before the terrorists from Al Qaeda attempt a biological or chemical attack. In the light of the recent multiple terrorist attacks in Turkey, (some) European politicians should start worrying. The report, however, says that

...the killings and detentions of several members of al Qaeda has damaged the terror network.

So, again, who is leading the fight against terrorism? Just asking.
