Při noční akci v uprchlickém táboře Džabalia došlo mezi bezpečnostními silami a některými z podezřelých k přestřelce předtím, než byli zatčeni. Nebylo oznámeno žádné zranění.

Podezřelí z Džabalie, která je poblíž místa útoku v severní Gaze, patří k Lidové frontě pro osvobození Palestiny a jsou propojeni s Lidovými výbory odporu.

Je také zajímavé, že představitelé EU jsou najednou na straně obětí, nikoliv teroristů.

Představitelé EU řekli, že Unie chce, aby Arafat buď „předložil výsledky v oblasti bezpečnosti“ anebo předal kontrolu nad bezpečnostními silami palestinské vládě vedené premiérem Ahmedem Qurejou.

A teď přichází šokující překvapení od dánského ministra zahraničí Moellera (všimněte si použití slova militanti, nikoliv teroristi):

Palestinský předák Jásir Arafat nedělá dost pro to, aby zamezil útokům militantů, řekl ve čtvrtek ministr zahraničí Dánska Per Stig Moeller po smrtelném útoku na americký diplomatický konvoj v pásmu Gazy.

Takže, dokud palestinští teroristé zabíjejí (pouze) Židy, vše je košer. Ale jakmile si začínají jako cíl vybírat i ne-Židy, Arafat „nedělá dost“? Řekl bych, že odsun Arafata je už velmi opožděný.

GAZA CITY (CNN) – Palestinian security forces Thursday rounded up five suspects in northern Gaza in connection with the deadly roadside bombing of a U.S. convoy a day earlier, including at least three members believed part of a breakaway militant faction, Palestinian security sources said. ...

In overnight operations in the Jabaliya refugee camp, security forces exchanged fire with some of the suspects before detaining them, the sources said. No injuries were reported.

Located near the bombing site in northern Gaza, the suspects in Jabaliya belong to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and are affiliated with the Popular Resistance Committees, the sources said.

What’s more, the EU officials suddenly side with the victims, not with the terrorists.

Officials said the EU wants Arafat to "deliver on security" or hand over control of the security forces to the Palestinian government led by Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia.

Here comes a bombshell dropped by Mr. Moeller, Denmark’s Foreign Minister (note the use of the word “militants” rather than “terrorists”):

Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat is not doing enough to prevent attacks by militants, Denmark's Foreign Minister Per Stig Moeller said Thursday after a deadly bombing of a US diplomatic convoy in the Gaza Strip.

So, as long as the Palestinian terrorists kill (only) Jews, everything is kosher. But when they start targeting non-Jews, Arafat “is not doing enough”? I would say Arafat’s removal is long overdue.
